Passengers Reported Hearing a Loud Noise

Passengers on the flight reported hearing a loud noise before the pilot announced the emergency landing.

"I heard a loud bang and then the plane started shaking," said passenger John Smith. "I was really scared."

"The pilot did a great job of keeping us calm and getting us back on the ground safely," said passenger Mary Jones.

American Airlines Investigating the Incident

American Airlines is investigating the incident. The airline has not yet released any information about the cause of the mechanical issue.

Passengers who were on the flight are being accommodated on other flights to DFW.
