Kane on fire, Mega-Series for BVB and Bayer
Harry Kane shoots Tottenham Hotspur to victory
Harry Kane continues to shine in the Premier League. The English striker scored twice in Tottenham Hotspur's 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, taking his tally to 10 goals in 11 games this season. With this brace, Kane has become the first player in Premier League history to score at least 10 goals in seven consecutive seasons.
Kane's performance was particularly impressive considering that he had missed Tottenham's previous two games with an ankle injury. He showed no signs of rustiness, however, and looked sharp from the start. Kane's first goal came in the 15th minute, when he latched onto a pass from Son Heung-min and fired a low shot into the bottom corner. His second goal came in the 55th minute, when he headed home a cross from Ivan Perisic.
Kane's goals help Tottenham move up to third place
Kane's goals helped Tottenham move up to third place in the Premier League table, two points behind leaders Arsenal. Tottenham have now won four of their last five games in all competitions, and they will be looking to continue their good form when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen continue their impressive starts to the season
Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen continued their impressive starts to the Bundesliga season with wins on Saturday. Dortmund thrashed Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-0, while Leverkusen beat Hertha Berlin 2-1.
Dortmund were in control from the start against Mönchengladbach, and they took the lead in the 25th minute through Karim Adeyemi. The young German striker added a second goal in the 35th minute, before Jude Bellingham and Gio Reyna completed the scoring in the second half.
Leverkusen also had to come from behind to beat Hertha Berlin. The visitors took the lead in the 17th minute through Chidera Ejuke, but Leverkusen leveled through Moussa Diaby in the 39th minute. Patrik Schick then scored the winning goal in the 58th minute.
Dortmund and Leverkusen are among the favorites for the Bundesliga title
